The Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church was founded in the year of 1868 by Reverends Elex Lawrence and K. Palmer. 

It was organized under a bush harbor by F.C. Cooper, moderator of the Cooper Missionary Baptist Association. 

The church was completed in 1870.

The Original Pastors were Rev. K. Palmer and Rev. I Cooper. 

The current Pastor is Rev. Willie Rogers Callaway
